Technical observation and thinking of stamping and sheet metal manufacturing industry

I have successively participated in the 2018 and 2019 National Conference of directors of stamping and sheet metal manufacturing enterprises and China International Metal Forming exhibition sponsored by China Forging Association. Through attending the meeting and visiting the exhibition, I have a deeper understanding and Thinking on the development status of new technology and new equipment in stamping and sheet metal manufacturing industry. The following are some aspects that are deeply impressed by the participation and visit.
Servo technology is gradually popularized and applied
With the increasingly fierce competition of automobile products, the shape of stamping products is becoming more and more complex, the stamping process is diversified, the die structure is complicated, and the materials are lightweight and diversified; at the same time, with the high-end and customized products of household appliances, electronic communication and other industries, the fine quality requirements of various sheet metal parts and precision blanking and drawing parts are also higher and higher. The application of advanced stamping technology is inseparable from the technical progress of equipment. In recent years, servo stamping and sheet metal manufacturing equipment have been widely applied in line with the requirements of products and processes.
In the mid-1990s, servo press came into being and developed rapidly with its superior performance. In our country, the development of servo press is in the ascendant, and it has been widely used and applied in the major automobile manufacturers. According to incomplete statistics, there are more than 50 large-scale servo press production lines in China, and the application of small and medium-sized servo presses is even more numerous.
At first, people were skeptical about the advantages and energy saving of servo press, and could not determine whether the cost performance of servo press was reasonable. After nearly 20 years of development and application of servo press technology, the advantages of servo press have been found and proved. According to the requirements of products and processes, new technologies are constantly improved and developed, which are supported by some actual data. Servo press technology has been a hot topic in recent years.
Function and advantages of servo press
(1) the formability and quality of products are improved.
Servo press has both mechanical reliability and hydraulic flexibility. It can output different motion curves according to different product and process requirements, and its slider stroke and speed can be adjusted to meet different process and quality characteristics requirements. Moreover, it can effectively solve the quality risk caused by material change, and greatly reduce the rebound amount and the tearing band separated by punching.
(2) improve production efficiency and maximize economic benefits.
In the full stroke mode: under the same or lower forming speed, the slider motion is programmed separately, which greatly shortens the cycle time and improves the efficiency.
Swing stroke mode: allows free programming of the slider stroke height. Through the reverse rotation of the torque motor, the eccentric driving device of the slider moves in the form of swing, which can significantly improve the efficiency and save energy.
According to the stamping experience of Schuler servo press, compared with ordinary press, the production efficiency of some small and medium-sized progressive die and multi position die is increased by 70% on average.
(3) energy saving. The servo press equipped with energy feedback management system can save energy by 20% – 30%.
(4) reduce the noise and increase the service life of the die. As a result of better control of the speed of the contact die, it can effectively reduce the impact and vibration of the mold, reduce the noise, improve the life of the die and press, and improve the bad working environment of the previous stamping factory.
(5) the press has simple structure, low failure rate and easier maintenance, as shown in Figure 1.
(6) the overall height of the press is reduced, the structure is compact and the floor area is small, which reduces the requirements and restrictions on the height of the stamping plant, and reduces the investment cost of the stamping plant.
(7) the “inching operation” used in the mold installation and test of the ordinary press requires higher operation skills and is not accurately controlled. However, the servo press can achieve 0.01mm micro motion operation each time when making mold adjustment, which makes the mold adjustment operation simple, convenient, fast and accurate.
(8) servo press can realize the organic combination with automation device, control more flexible and efficiency maximization. The high dynamic performance servo motor is used to program and control the slider movement, which makes it adapt to the mold and automatic process parameters simply and quickly, and optimizes the coordination between the slider and the automatic device, and improves the efficiency under the condition of ensuring the quality. Some servo presses are equipped with “optimization program curve generator”, which can automatically optimize the operation parameter curve of slide block and automatic system according to the mold and parameters. At present, the maximum beat of the automatic line of large servo press reaches 18 beats / min.
(9) servo press makes stamping production easier to realize automation, information and intelligence.
